Cost & Payment

What payment options and funding are available?

You can pay in a variety of ways, from checks to cash to debit and credit cards. Some funding is available for those who qualify. Please note that our type of services are non-medical (as are assisted living facilities) and are not covered by Medicare.

Here are some funding options to consider:

  • Long-term care insurance – If you have a long-term care insurance policy, it will often pay for the care provided by Aspen Senior Care. Since each policy is unique, please talk with your insurance company to verify coverage. We have a Long Term Care specialist in the office who can help you file your claims.
  • VA Pension Benefit – Veterans who qualify can get a monthly pension to help pay for our services. Call us at 801-607-2300 with any questions.
  • Private Pay – We accept personal and business checks as well as cash, debit, and credit cards.
  • Reverse Mortgages – This type of funding is a good option in certain situations. Please call us and we can refer you to a mortgage specialist who can answer all of your questions regarding this option.
  • MAG – Through this government agency, Aspen Senior Care is contracted to provide in-home care services (transportation, homemaking, and personal care) for certain seniors who qualify.

Memory Care

Is the center secure for participants who wander?

Yes. The center is monitored and designed for safety, and team members are trained to redirect participants calmly and respectfully when needed.

Can my loved one try the program before enrolling?

Yes. Aspen offers trial days so your family can experience the program and see how your loved one responds before making a longer-term decision.

Do you provide transportation?

Transportation is available from several Utah Valley communities, including Provo, Orem, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, and Lehi. Ask the team about current routes and availability.

What if my loved one has mobility needs?

The center is accessible, and team members can assist with walking, transfers, restroom needs, and other daily routines. A conversation before enrollment helps the team understand the right level of support.

Do you accept long-term care insurance?

Aspen works with long-term care insurance and the Aid & Attendance benefit for eligible veterans. Coverage varies, and the team can help families understand paperwork and next steps.

Alzheimer's

Is the center secure for someone who wanders?

Yes. Our center is secured, and staff are trained to gently redirect clients to safe spaces.

Can my loved one try a day before committing?

Absolutely. We offer trial days so families can see how their loved one adjusts.

Is day care only for late-stage Alzheimer’s?

No. Day care is helpful at every stage of Alzheimer’s. Many families find it easier to start earlier, before stress and burnout build up.

What if my loved one doesn’t want to participate?

That’s a common worry. Many participants find real joy in the activities once they try them, and our team invites participation without forcing it.

What is the staff-to-client ratio?

We provide one aide for every four clients (a 4:1 ratio), so each participant gets personal attention.

Dementia

Is the center secure for someone with memory loss?

Yes. Aspen provides a monitored setting designed for safety, and the team is trained to respond to wandering, confusion, and changes in behavior with calm redirection.

Is a day program only for later-stage dementia?

No. Many families begin earlier, when social isolation, loss of routine, or daytime safety first becomes difficult. Starting before a crisis can give a participant more time to become comfortable with the people and rhythm of the center.

What if my loved one is hesitant about group activities?

That is common. Team members invite participation without forcing it and look for interests, familiar roles, and one-to-one moments that can make connection feel natural. Adjustment can take time, so Aspen also offers trial days.

Do you provide transportation?

Door-to-door transportation is available in several Utah Valley communities. Contact the center for current service areas, routes, and scheduling.

What kind of activities are offered?

Days may include music, art, reminiscence, conversation, cognitive games, gentle exercise, meals, and social events. Activities are adjusted to the people present rather than delivered as a one-size-fits-all schedule.
